History of Little Flower Engineering Institute - ITC
In the very early 1960s, the visionary founding fathers and predessors of the Archdiocese of Verapoly envisaged an initiative to empower the economically challenged and marginalised sections of the society and their families especially in Kerala. Thus started a small engineering workshop in 1962 in the industrial hub of South Kalamassery in Cochin.
In 1965, Little Flower Engineering Institute became a 220,000 Sq.Ft., efficient infrastructure set-up with its well planned buildings to house the different coaching areas and practical training laboratories, trade test centres, job interview offices. hostel building and so on. LFEI was officially approved as an ITC by the N.C.V.T. - Government of India. Over the years, LFEI with the unswerving dedication of the founding fathers of the Archdiocese of Verapoly established itself as a pioneer in the field if technical education to bring opportunities for gainful livelihood to the people of Kerala.
LFEI Mission
To impart student-centric holistic training to male and female students particularly the economically challenged and/or marginalised sections of the society. Emphasising on technical education by carefully selecting job-oriented specialised courses, the trainees are groomed to be competent and employable by corporates, thereby, kindling the light of renewed hope and a brighter future for families.
Our Vision
With a clear focus on the newest methodologies of imparting knowledge, LFEI shall unswervingly strive to become the favourite institute by highlighting the need to inculcate a sense of commitment, personal integrity and social responsibility in the students to face the changing challenges grappling the nation on the path to progress.
That LFEI shall continue to be recognised as the institution which pioneered the emphasis on the benefits of empowering the students with qualitative technical skills in the developing world to make them employable by corporates in India and overseas, shall remain the reality that LFEI envisages.
